Although there are many other alternatives to AdSense, but google AdSense seems to be the best so far,having the highest number of advertisers and the best paying network at the moment.
There are a lot of success stories out there of people whose accounts were later reinstated, its worth it, clearing all the violations that has lead your account to be disable and re-appealing to AdSense.
